Kencotube is one of the well-known manufacturer and stockist of SS 304 Pipes & Tubes, which is the most common stainless steel. Stainless steel 304 Tubes has excellent resistance to a wide range of atmospheric environments and many corrosive media. SS 304 Tubes is subject to pitting and crevice corrosion in warm chloride environments and to stress corrosion cracking above about 60 Degree C. Alloy 304 Pipes is considered resistant to potable water with up to about 200 mg/L chlorides at ambient temperatures, reducing to about 150 mg/L at 60 Degree C. Alloy 304 Tubes is used for a variety of household and industrial applications such as screws, machinery parts, car headers, and food-handling equipment.
Grade 304 Pipes is also used in the architectural field for exterior accents such as water and fire features. Grade 304 Tubes contains both chromium (usually 18 percent) and nickel (usually 8 percent) metals as the main non-iron constituents. It is an austenite steel. 304 Stainless Steel Pipes Tubes is not very electrically or thermally conductive and is non-magnetic. Stainless Steel 304 Seamless Pipes has a higher corrosion resistance than regular steel and is widely used because of the ease in which it is formed into various shapes. Stainless Steel 304 Welded Pipes contains 17.5 – 20 percent chromium, 8 – 11 percent nickel, and less than 0.08 percent carbon, 2 percent manganese, 1 percent silicon, 0.045 percent phosphorus, and 0.03 percent sulphur.
