Hastelloy Fasteners are manufactured using nickel-based superalloy. These fasteners contain nickel, molybdenum, and chromium with additions of iron and tungsten. Alloys of this grade are also considered to as high-performance alloys. These fasteners are extremely strong and come with the added benefit of being corrosion-resistant. Hastelloy Fasteners are a high-performance bolting component with excellent resistance to oxidizing, reducing, & corrosive environments. These fasteners are used for chemical and nuclear process equipment, oil & gas, and other moderately corrosive environments.
In addition to its high resistance to corrosive materials, Hastelloy is extremely durable. It can survive in highly stressed and hot environments. Furthermore, it has a low carbon content and is resistant to grain boundary carbide precipitation. Hastelloy Stud Bolts have an extremely high strength-to-weight ratio. As a result, it can withstand a lot of stress & can be fabricated into large sizes. In addition, Hastelloy Threaded Rods have excellent resistance to highly oxidizing agents, including hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, and phosphoric acid. Hastelloy Pipe Fasteners do experience degradation due to fabricating and handling. Electropolishing or passivation of Hastelloy Alloy Fasteners can improve corrosion resistance.

There are several different grades of Hastelloy fasteners. The Hastelloy B2 Fasteners alloy is made of nickel and molybdenum. It has good resistance to hydrochloric and sulfuric acid. Hastelloy C2000 Fasteners are also corrosion-resistant. It is used in the petrochemical industry for valves, pumps, and other chemical process equipment. This alloy is also used in the power industry for flue gas desulfurization systems. Hastelloy C276 Fasteners are the most versatile.
