What are Stainless Steel 321 Pipes?

Stainless Steel 321 Pipes are a common austenitic stainless steel alloy. It has excellent forming, welding, and phase stability properties. Because of its stability, the material is known for its resistance to intergranular corrosion. This makes it suitable for applications in intermittent service temperatures. SS 321 Seamless Pipes have a minimum tensile strength of 515 Mpa. The addition of titanium to the alloy boosts its strength. Alloy 321 is commonly used in engineering and chemical equipment. It has a maximum hardness of Rockwell 95 HRB. Aside from its machinability, the SS 321 Steel is resistant to atmospheric corrosion, inorganic chemicals, and chlorides. Stainless 321 is suitable for use in applications that involve high temperatures. SS 321 Pipe is preferred over stainless steel 304l pipe in the high-temperature range due to its better strength and formability. What are Stainless Steel 321 Tubes?

While chromium carbide can form if exposed to temperatures over 900 degrees Fahrenheit, this process is less likely to occur with small-diameter SS 321 tubing.
