SS 347 Butt Weld Fittings can only be hardened by cold working and not by heat treatment. Grade 347 Pipe Fittings is feasible for welding and can be processed by standard shop fabrication.
Alloy 347 Butt Weld Pipe Fittings is designed to gain higher creep resistance and it can bear higher temperatures up to 1000 Degree F (537 Degree C). Alloy 347 Butt Weld Fittings has excellent forming and welding qualities, and the addition of columbium and tantalum helps for exceptional intergranular corrosion resistance. Alloy 347 Pipe Fittings is similar to grade 321, but with slightly improved corrosion resistance in strongly oxidizing environments. 347 Stainless Steel Pipe Fittings is essentially non-magnetic in the annealed condition and can only be hardened by cold working.
